Project thirty-three is one of my favorite blogs on the web...
it's run by Jive Time Records, a Seattle-based record store that specializes in used vinyl, and it's their homage to the seemingly infinite number of vintage album covers that convey the feeling of the record with only simple shapes and typography. 
I check it out from time to time & it always makes me smile!

I love hoop chairs and when I saw these, they just seemed to echo that "end of summer but fall's not here yet" feeling... (Martha knows her stuff!)

Yep, the netflix beat, that is. 

I'm clearly late to the netflix game, but I've now moved from french new wave to modernism, and I have to say that Visual Acoustics, the 2008 documentary on Julius Shulman's life and work, is a real treat.  He captured the history of modern architecture in Southern California and worked with nearly every modern architect since the 1930s including John Lautner, Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, PIerre Koenig, Charles and Ray Eames, Craig Ellwood, Raphael Soriano and Gregory Ain. 
It was visually stunning, really sweet, and if you have any affection at all for modern design, I believe you may be required to see it!
