NYLON party

NYLON Magazine's annual music issue launch party was this past Monday... the Ting Tings were the headliners and as always, there were lots of interesting people - and fashion!
I especially liked this top hat and tails outfit...

I love this little black dress.
It looks like something a Hitchcock blonde would wear--
with a super snug fit and finished off with
a nifty pair of kitten heels!
(...and perhaps a spoon pendant on a very long chain!)
The stitch and button detail on the back is what
I love the most...

mirror/dash

 

  First the jacket, now the collection...
(but I still love the jacket the most!)
Mirror/dash is a side project for experimental duo Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth), and it's also now a new clothing line designed by Kim.  It's Kim's style mixed with a little Francoise Hardy, and I'm happy she's designing clothes again... believe it or not, I still have a top from her x-girl line...

etherial dresses

I saw these a while back on Bliss and for some reason, I can't get them out of my head.  Maybe they came to mind today because it's still beautifully rainy here and they seem to be spun from mist - or maybe just because they're amazing!  These confections are made by hand from organic and vintage textiles, and I agree with mrs. french... if fairies did exist, Barbara Munsel would most definitely be their personal 

clothing designer...
